Professor Ware highlighted recent arbitration law developments from courts, Congress, and federal agencies, and placed those developments in the broader structure of arbitration law and politics. Arbitration has often divided the Supreme Court and Congress along partisan lines.
CLE programs for lawyers boost and expand knowledge beyond law school studies. Though mandatory for active attorneys to maintain a practicing license in many states, there is no national umbrella accreditation for CLE. Each state sets its guidelines such as frequency of undertaking CLE, duration, penalty for non-compliance, fees, course composition, and procedures for foreign or out-of-state attorneys.
